A Very Interesting 1801 (or 1807) Historical Legal Document.

Court of General Sessions of the Peace for the County of Cumberland, Portland, Maine (Massachusetts).

Hand Signed by Samuel Freeman, Jr. Clerk of the Court.

A Neat early 1801 (or 1807) Court Document from Portland, County of Cumberland, Maine (Maine was a province of Massachusetts until 1820) from Court of General Sessions of the Peace, for John Henion who apparently did not show up for a court appearance to repeal a previous Court Case decision by Judge Samuel Freeman, Sr. His Son, Samuel Freeman, Jr. signed this document as Clerk of the Court, who was a prominent politician who held several appointments, including being The Postmaster of Falmouth (being appointed by Benjamin Franklin).

Condition is USED (EXTRA FINE - Bright).

A couple of minor edge breaks at the bottom.
